Danish artist Gitte Villesen (*1965) lives and works in Copenhagen and Berlin. She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art in Copenhagen. Her video works are concerned with the every day life of individuals in their social environment and document reality. Villesen introduces the viewer to the personalities of the individuals portrayed, who have created their own micro worlds by developing distinct interests that contrast to the mundane. Villesen, who sometimes appears herself in the video works, is interested in the diffusion of documentation, fiction and reality in her art. In recent years her work has been show in solo shows at Kunsthalle St. Gallen and the Centre d'Art Santa Monica in Barcelona.
The artist talks in English language.

Entrance is free.
