Wednesday, April 9th 2008, 7 pm
Artist talk – Aurélien Froment
Aurélien Froment was born in 1976 in Angers and currently lives and works in Paris. His work consists of documentary, fiction, manuals and assembled ready-mades, for which he employs a variety of sources. Thus Froment’s references range from figures like Kasimir Malevitch to the British writer, mathematician and photographer Lewis Carroll and the art historian Aby Warburg. Recent solo shows include Calling the Elephant at the Project Art Centre in Dublin and Store Gallery, London. Until the beginning of May 2008 Froment is participating in the Deutsche Börse Residency Program at the Frankfurter Kunstverein.
