02.03.2010 Artist Talk with Bernd Trasberger
(Deutsche Börse Residency Program)
7 pm
Bernd Trasberger (born in 1974 in Mönchengladbach), Germany)
lives and works in Berlin. His work focuses on the design and conception of
urban life and our perception of it. At last during a research stipend of "Lectoraat
Kunst en Publik Ruimte, Amsterdam" he studied the design of facades and
corporate architecture of the new bank district of Amsterdam: Zuida. Based on
this he compared it with grid facade designs by Egon Eiermann and others in the
1960s. During his stay at Deutsche Börse Residency Program, Trasberger would
like to continue his research project, but this time with a focus on the architecture
of the bank district in Frankfurt in comparism with architectural references of
the architecture of postwar modernity.
