Report from China\u201d by Wolfgang Rang (Professor at the FH Frankfurt)*<\/p>\n<p>The urban landscape of the metropolis on the Main is characterized by a large number of skyscrapers, whose skyline has given rise to Frankfurt\u2019s nickname of \u201cMainhatten\u201d. The utopian buildings that were only possible as fantasy in Fritz Lang\u2019s classic \u201cMetropolis\u201d have become reality, not only in the film \u201cMetropolis. Report from China\u201d by Maya Schweizer and Clemens von Wedemeyer but also in the urban architecture of Frankfurt. <\/p>\n<p>A special tour guided by Prof. Wolfgang Rang explored the Frankfurt banking district, an area with some of the tallest buildings in Europe. Participants have been able to view unique interiors such as the \u201chistorical meeting room\u201d of the Bundesbank and the \u201changing gardens\u201d in the Commerzbank Tower, which are generally not open to the public. <\/p>\n<p>Prof. Wolfgang Rang (*1949), Dipl.-Ing. Architect BDA, studied architecture at the TH Darmstadt and Sinology at the Goethe-University Frankfurt\/Main.
