Or must art reject politics for art\u2019s sake? What could constitute the political in art? What influence does art have on the normative order of a society and public space? Globalization opens borders, leads to exchange and movements within the spheres of economics, politics, society, and art. How does art inspire such transborder processes, and how do they in turn impact art? Dr. Cl\u00e9mentine Deliss, Director of the Museum of World Cultures, and philosopher Dr. Juliane Rebentisch have addressed these topics in their discussion.<\/p>\n<p>*Dr. Juliane Rebentisch* teaches philosophy at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main and is a member of the federally funded research group \u201cThe Formation of Normative Orders\u201d. The emphasis of her research is on contemporary aesthetics in art and theatre, problems and figures of cultural criticism, and theories of freedom and democracy.<\/p>\n<p>*Dr. Cl\u00e9mentine Deliss* is the Director of the Museum of World Cultures (MWK) in Frankfurt am Main. She studied ethnology and contemporary art in Vienna, Paris, and at the University of London where she wrote doctoral dissertation on French ethnology in the early 20th century.<\/p>\n<p>*Dr. Holger Kube Ventura* is the Director of Frankfurter Kunstverein.
