Indonesian Contemporary Art\u201d and \u201cBody-Me: The Body in the Age of Digital Technology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the exhibition \u201cRoots. Indonesian Contemporary Art\u201d, solo presentations of new work by the artists Jompet Kuswidananto, Eko Nugroho and the artist collective Tromarama was given room in the Frankfurter Kunstverein\u2019s interior space. Joko Avianto\u2019s stunning bamboo installation covered the Kunstverein\u2019s fa\u00e7ade. The exhibition took place on the occasion of Indonesia\u2019s appearance as Guest of Honour at the 2015 Frankfurt Book Fair and was being presented in partnership with the National Gallery of Indonesia in Jakarta under the auspices of the Republic of Indonesia\u2019s Ministry of Education and Culture.<br \/>\nThe works by artists Yuri Ancarani, Kate Cooper, Melanie Gilligan and Thomas Thwaites on view in the exhibition \u201cBody-Me: The Body in the Age of Digital Technology\u201d considered the human body, its mutability, its fragility and its ephemerality within the context of a digital and hyper technological society. The exhibition was a contribution to the 2015 B3 Biennial of the Moving Image. <\/p>\n<p>The opening\u2019s guest speakers were: Prof. Dr. Felix Semmelroth (Deputy Mayor in Charge of Culture of the City of Frankfurt\/Main), Goenawan Mohamad (Chairman, National Committee Indonesia Guest of Honor Frankfurt Book Fair 2015), Franziska Nori (Director, Frankfurter Kunstverein) und Asikin Hasan (Co-curator, \u201cRoots.
