In the digital age, where information is spread in real time, an urgent question arises: How can we continue to trust the images that surround us?<\/p>\n
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence has led to the low-barrier production of photorealistic images. Our perception is being challenged.<\/p>\n
The arrangement of pixels alone provides less and less insight into the truth behind the images. They are losing their previous evidential power.<\/p>\n
As a result, the societal approach to how we consume media may be on the verge of a radical change: How should we deal with the truthfulness amidst the fast-paced news flow? What is authentic, what is fake? Are these outdated categories?<\/p>\n

Moritz Lapke<\/u><\/a> (*1995 in Frankfurt am Main, DE) is an artist and political activist. Engaging predominantly in the realm of digital media, he delved into a multitude of practical, creative endeavors during his studies. Abstract experiments within digital spaces metamorphosed into works imbued with political significance. Following his graduation from Offenbach University of Art and Design in 2022, his primary focus shifted towards the phenomenon of Artificial Intelligence.
