Public guided tour
29.11.2025, 16:30
The way people view, perceive and represent the body is constantly changing. Art and science have always used images of the body to tell stories about humanity. Over the course of history, new images and interpretations of the body have continually emerged.
But why think about the body today? Don’t we already know enough about it? We all have bodies. More than that: We are all bodies. The body can be viewed from the outside and examined, measured and quantified from the inside. It can be pathologised and objectified, healed and cared for. Bodies are vulnerable structures. Bodies are finite. And at the same time, bodies are political.
How we represent bodies is more important today than ever before. The exhibition explores the essential questions surrounding the power of body images.
In the guided tour of the exhibition Anatomy of Fragility, Anita Lavorano, Curatorial Researcher, provides an overview of the various art and science exhibits.
The tour costs 5€ plus admission. Registration is not necessary.
We look forward to seeing you there!
