This exhibition is a journey into a country surrounded by the Arctic Ocean, six times the size of Germany, and which in recent years has unwillingly become the focus of global powers.

What do we know about the people of Greenland, about its nature, and about the interconnections between economy, environment, and culture? What do we know about the history of colonial violence? Which political forces lay claim to a land that longs for independence?

Greenland – Not for Sale – Kalaallit Nunaat Forever is an exhibition presented in cooperation with the ALPS Swiss Alpine Museum, Bern. Moving and intimate cinematic testimonies as well as Julie Edel Hardenbergs political art invite visitors on a sensory journey through the kaleidoscopic narratives of a complex country and its people.
