Public guided tour
29.11.2025, 16:30
The way we see bodies has never been static. It changes with each era and shapes our understanding of what it means to be human. The body stands at the centre of this reflection – vulnerable and finite, yet also a projection surface for ideals and claims to power.
It remains a political space in which ideas of identity, gender, health and beauty are negotiated – a place where social tensions and aspirations become equally visible.
These perspectives form the starting point for the public guided tour of the exhibition Anatomy of Fragility – Images of the Body in Art and Science.
Anita Lavorano and Pia Seifüßl from the curatorial team of the Frankfurter Kunstverein will, in dialogue with visitors, open up different perspectives on the fragility of the body and its representation in the past and present.
The tour costs 5€ plus admission. Registration is not necessary.
We look forward to seeing you there!
