Social Media Netiquette

Netiquette for the Social Media Channels of the Frankfurter Kunstverein

We welcome your comments and messages on our social media channels. The Frankfurter Kunstverein communicates via Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn. To ensure a fair exchange, we kindly ask you to observe our netiquette.

We strive for respectful interaction

On our social media channels, we require respectful and polite interaction. We aim to engage in diverse debates on a factual and constructive level. Discriminatory or defamatory comments, as well as insulting and personal attacks, will be deleted without explanation. This includes, but is not limited to, racist, anti-Semitic, sexist, ableist, and queer-phobic statements.

We value topic-related comments

Please ensure that your comments are relevant to the topic. We reserve the right to remove comments that do not relate to our posts.

We do not tolerate abusive use

We do not tolerate the use of our social media channels as advertising platforms. This also includes agitation and advertising for political parties and organizations, spam, and automatically generated comments that we understand to be part of hate campaigns. Such messages and comments will be deleted, and the authors will be reported and possibly blocked.

We respond to questions as promptly as possible

We are happy to answer all questions posted in the comments and messages. However, this may sometimes take more time. Questions posted in the evenings or on weekends may be answered on the next business day. Responses to inquiries that require internal consultation may take a bit longer.

With these rules, we aim to protect ourselves and our followers on social media from hostility. Similar to the house rules in the premises of the Frankfurter Kunstverein, we also want to agree on common rules online. Therefore, comments that violate our netiquette will be deleted, and their authors reported. We reserve the right to remove posts without providing reasons. In case of violations, users may be blocked, reported, or prosecuted (including § 185 StGB). This also applies to the sending of direct messages. By interacting on the social media channels of the Frankfurter Kunstverein, you agree to these guidelines.
