The Frontiers of Knowledge – Panel discussion with Dr. Cinzia Sciuto, Prof. Dr. Luciano Rezzolla and Dr. Paolo Ferri
22.01.2026, 18:30
In collaboration with the Italian Consulate General in Frankfurt, we invite you to a conversation in Italian with three outstanding scientists based in Frankfurt.
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Paolo Ferri, physicist, author and long-time mission operations manager at the European Space Agency (ESA); Prof. Dr. Luciano Rezzolla, astrophysicist and Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main; and Dr. Cinzia Sciuto, philosopher and editor-in-chief of the Italian journal of philosophy, politics, culture and science MicroMega. The occasion is the publication of the new issue Le frontiere della conoscenza (Yearbook of Science. The Frontiers of Knowledge).
The current issue examines the state of scientific research across different fields of knowledge and explores the limits of human understanding. It addresses not only scientific progress, but also the responsibility of science as a cornerstone of civil, democratic and social life. Science serves to help us understand the world and is at the same time an indispensable tool for political decision-making.
The event will be held in Italian and moderated by Michele Santoriello (Cultural Office of the Italian Consulate General).
Please register by 20 January 2026 by emailing: francoforte.culturale@esteri.it
