Director’s guided tour with Franziska Nori

11.09.2022, 14:00

through the exhibition Three Doors – Forensic Architecture/Forensis, Initiative 19. Februar Hanau, Initiative in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh

In this guided tour of the exhibition Three Doors, director Franziska Nori provides insights into the collaboration with the various actors: the artist collective Forensic Architecture and its affiliated agency Forensis Berlin, the Initiative 19. Februar Hanau, the Initiative in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh and journalists. Three Doors adds on to an ongoing process of social transformation. It is about the question of participation, of belonging, but also of the identity of a diverse society in which we all should be equal in the eyes of the law, no matter what name we bear, what skin colour and what cultural experience we have. How are these questions negotiated in the exhibition? What role can cultural institutions play in this? Can art strengthen basic democratic values? In the working process, the curatorial team repeatedly faced the challenge of networking people from completely different spheres of experience with each other, so that new insights and new social action could emerge in the formation of new coalitions.

No pre-registration required.

The guided tour costs 3 € plus admission fee and takes place in German, guided tours in foreign languages on request.
