THE EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS:

We regret to inform you that Dietrich Brants will not be able to attend due to illness, therefore we have to cancel the event.

You are welcome to register for one of our many other events. You can find an overview of the programme accompanying the “Three Doors” exhibition here: https://www.fkv.de/en/events-current/

We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to welcome you back in person to the Frankfurter Kunstverein soon.

Original announcement:

The conversation between Franziska Nori, director of the Frankfurter Kunstverein, and Dietrich Brants, SWR2 journalist, will take place during a joint tour of the Doors exhibition.

Journalist Dietrich Brants, author of the documentary series The Void of Hanau, explains the social background, events and consequences of the racist attack on 19 February 2020 in Hanau based on his research and the new investigations by Forensic Architecture and provides insights into journalistic work at SWR2.

Dietrich Brants was invited by Frankfurter Kunstverein to present the documentary series at the exhibition Three Doors. The audio documentary The Void of Hanau assembles numerous publicly available documents and voices of those affected, illuminating gaps in the previous narrative of the racist attack that were deliberately ignored by authorities.

With pre-registration via e-mail to post(at)fkv.de.

The guided tour costs 3 € plus admission fee and takes place in German, guided tours in foreign languages on request.
